Arlie Pond
Dr. Erasmus Arlington "Arlie" Pond (January 19, 1873 – September 19, 1930) was an American major league baseball pitcher for the Baltimore Orioles from -, as well as a doctor in the United States Army during the Spanish–American War and World War I. ==Early life== Pond was born on January 19, 1873 in East Saugus, Massachusetts to Abbott Sequard Pond and Ellen (Stocker) Pond. He was named after his uncle, Dr. Erasmus Arlington Pond. By the time he was in grammar school his family had moved to Rutland, Vermont, where his father sold surgical equipment for the Pond Sphygmograph Company.〔
